At Vinland National Center’s residential program, clients are allowed to have access to their cell phones during their treatment with the following restrictions to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Clients will be asked to take the time to review and accept the below guidelines at their intake appointment:
– Phones must be shut down and stored away during all group therapy sessions.
– Video chatting is prohibited in all common areas to maintain a respectful atmosphere for all clients.
– Clients are not permitted to post any content on any social media platforms or send information to other personal devices during their stay.
– Vinland staff reserve the right, under statute 245G.21, to confiscate a client’s device if there is a belief that the device is being used in violation of these rules or infringing on another individual’s right to privacy.
– If a violation occurs, the device will be stored in the client’s lockbox.
