What interests you about social work?    I have a strong interest in understanding human behavior and social environments. I’ve known since I was a teenager that this is what I wanted to do.

Why were you interested in an internship at Vinland?
I’m interested in working in mental health with families. I find that understanding substance abuse issues is a good foundation for that future of work.

What are your goals after graduation?
I hope to get a job working in clinical mental health. Most likely with children, but after this experience my interests have expanded to adults as well.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to read, spend time with my husband, run, bike ,and go camping.

Where do you most want to travel, but have never been?                                        Iceland

If you were immortal for a day, what would you do?                                              Make world peace.

What is your favorite TV show or book (or both) ?

Book: The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

TV show: New Girl

What aspect of social work do you hope to specialize in?                                   After gradation I see myself specializing in attachment issues with adoptive families and how it affects the children’s mental health.
