Amanda Thalacker is an intern at Vinland’s residential chemical health program. She is currently earning a degree from the University of North Dakota in Rehabilitation Human Services with an emphasis on mental health and substance abuse. Amanda’s expected graduation date is May 2015.
Why are you interested in your field of study?
I enjoy helping people, and I think people with substance abuse disorders and mental health issues are misunderstood.
Why were you interested in an internship at Vinland?
Vinland deals with co-occurring disorders and it’s a nice facility.
What are your goals after graduation?
I hope to get a good job in my field of study.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to spend time with family and friends, go fishing, and see live music.

If I knew I would for sure not die, I would go base jumping.
