Vinland has more than 30 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities. We meet the complex needs of individuals living with a variety of co-occurring mental illnesses and substance use disorders.
Co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse issues are common. For individuals with a substance use disorder, up to half also have mental health issues. Co-occurring disorders interact, negatively impacting an individual's chance at recovery.
Undetected and untreated co-occurring disorders can result in serious life problems such as:
- Frequent hospitalization
- Legal troubles
- Relationship conflicts
We provide integrated treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. By treating co-occurring disorders simultaneously, we are able to address issues related to the interactions of the disorders.
Vinland provides outpatient mental health services (Rule 29 Clinic) at our main campus in Loretto, Minnesota, and at our Minneapolis offices.
