Chemical Health
Vinland's chemical health program is beneficial for individuals with cognitive disabilities, such as brain injury, mental illness and learning disabilities. We help adult men and women become more aware of their use of alcohol and drugs and how those chemicals affect the health and healing of their brains, bodies, feelings and relationships.
A Comprehensive Approach
Vinland is dedicated to treating the whole person – mind, body and spirit. In addition to addressing substance abuse issues, we also focus on relationships, family, parenting, sexuality, anger, and grief and loss. We assist participants with life management issues such as computer skills for job seeking, fitness, nutrition, recovery support and networking.Treatment at Vinland places an emphasis on integrating thinking, emotions and actions. Our staff strives to make all possible accommodations for cognitive deficits and adaptations to individual learning styles. Our approach to recovery has proven beneficial for people who have been unsuccessful in other treatment settings.
Our chemical health program is designed for:
- Those who can benefit from a slower-paced, more individually-focused program.
- People living with cognitive disabilities such as brain injury, developmental disability, and/or physical disability.
- Individuals with co-occuring disorders.
- Those who have had difficulty succeeding in traditional chemical dependency treatment programs or those who have relapsed and need a new approach.
We offer Residential Services and Outpatient Services.
