New Outpatient Mental Health Clinic
January 10, 2012 - Vinland Center is pleased to announce the opening of its outpatient mental health clinic (Rule 29 clinic). The outpatient clinic will be located at Vinland’s main campus in Loretto, with part-time services available at Vinland’s outpatient chemical health offices in Minneapolis.
“We are excited to provide these needed services to the clients we already serve,” said Mary Roehl, Vinland’s executive director. “Now we can offer a continuum of care that will help our clients achieve and maintain sobriety.”
Vinland has provided on-site psychology services since 2008 and on-site psychiatry services since 2010. Vinland was interested in providing more comprehensive mental health services for its clients, and the organization began planning the outpatient mental health clinic in 2011. Vinland received licensing for the Rule 29 clinic in January 2012.
“We were unable to find adequate services in the community for our clients. Either the mental health services were booked or there was a long wait list,” said Duane Reynolds, Vinland’s associate director. “By having an on-site mental health clinic, we can obtain faster diagnostic evaluations for our clients.”
